A-A students selected for NW Iowa District Honor Band

Congratulations to four Alta-Aurelia High School students for being selected for the 2012 Northwest Iowa District Honor Band: Grace Weiland (bass clarinet), Abigail Anderson (flute), Michael Swanson (alto saxophone), and Matthew Swanson (percussion).

Students from across NW Iowa met in Storm Lake on Saturday, Nov. 3 to audition for a spot in one of two honor bands for the district.

Competition is very stiff, so it is an honor to be selected for these prestigious ensembles.

All students selected are the finest musicians from their school districts, so it is great to have representation from our own district in this festival.

The NWIBA Honor Band Festival will be held on Jan. 5, at Morningside College in Sioux City.
