Elbert, Radke united in marriage

Hope Elbert, of Pocahontas and Sam Radke, of Galva, were married June 30 at Faith Lutheran Church, rural Palmer followed by a reception at Harvest Hall at Twin Lakes Christian Center, Twin Lakes.

Parents of the couple are Troy and Jeanne Elbert of Pocahontas and David and Janda Radke of Galva.

Grandparents of the bride are Jon and Gloria Aden, Gilmore City and the late Harlan "Butch" and Betty Elbert, Pocahontas. Grandparents of the groom are Ralph and Sally Radke, Galva and the late Robert and Thelma Fitzsenry, Schaller.

Maid of honor was Brooke Elbert, Pocahontas; sister of the bride.

Best man was Seth Radke, Galva; brother of the groom.

Bridesmaids were Jessica Kuehner, Nevada; Katie Yule, Charles City; Holly Phillips, Fort Dodge; Nikki Seehusen, Pocahontas; Annie Hanrahan, St. Paul, Minn. and Adison Elbert, Stanton, Neb.

Groomsmen were Kyle Yearous, Cedar Rapids; Jesse Bremer, Holstein; Ben Andresen, Holstein; Blake, Trent, and Ryan Elbert, Pocahontas; brothers of the bride.

Ring bearers were J.D. Miller, Washington D.C. and Owen Campion, Austin, Texas. The flower girl was Emma Brown, Glenwood.

The couple chose brown, tan, and spring green for their colors.

The bride graduated from high school in 2009 and graduated in May from Iowa State University with a degree in Agriculture Studies. She is employed with United Bank of Iowa.

The groom is a 2008 graduate of Galva Holstein High School and a 2010 graduate of Iowa Central Community College with a degree in criminal justice. He is now farming and raising cattle.

The couple took a honeymoon trip to the Dominican Republic following their wedding and currently reside in Albert City.
