SL restaurant to serve 300 at community Thanksgiving meal

Friday, November 16, 2012

For the second year in a row, one local restaurant owner is making sure no one celebrates Thanksgiving by themselves.

Cindy Bosley of Boz Wellz will be ready to feed 300 next Thursday, nearly doubling the amount served last year through her Community Thanksgiving Dinner.

"I just want there to be an option for people to get together instead of sitting home alone," she said of her endeavor.

Turkey, ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, green bean casserole, cranberries, macaroni salad, pumpkin pie, carrot cupcakes and a rice and raisins dish from grandma's secret recipe will be part of the feast, held on Thanksgiving at Lake Avenue Lounge. Home deliveries are also available.

There is no charge for the meal, but donations will be accepted to offset the cost of food.

"It's a great chance to spread some cheer," she says. "It's a big job, but it's worth it."
