SIOUX CITY -- Kathleen Arnts, daughter of Bernard and Peg Arnts of Alta, helped coordinate a service project where over 750 Morningside College students, faculty and staff will go "Into the Streets" for a morning of community service recently.

Arnts is a 2009 graduate of Alta High School.

Organized by Morningside's chapter of Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK), a national leadership honor society, "Into the Streets" gives student groups and teams an opportunity to volunteer at 70 different locations in the Sioux City area.

Service work performed included cleaning, painting, setting up events, reading to elementary school students, working with the elderly at agencies such as Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center, Siouxland Habitat for Humanity and Siouxland Humane Society.
