Denny Weber recognized for service

At the Iowa Association of Municipal Utilities Annual Conference Oct. 3-5, Executive Director Bob Haug and Communication Manager John Burnett presented Denny Weber a plaque for IAMU Honor Roll.

Weber, who has been involved with Alta's utilities for more than 24 years, including service as a utility board member, was instrumental in helping to launch Alta-Tec, the city's municipal telecommunication utility. He has been a member of the planning committee for IAMU's Golfin' for Safety event, which raises money for IAMU safety training. He has also been a representative of IAMU associate member Border States Electric for a number of years, and is still active in the IAMU member utility system.

He was nominated for this award by Alta's Utility Manager Randy Tilk.
