Letsche's Bike Shop is proud to be one of 95 Trek Bicycle Dealers across the United States and Canada that has scheduled a bike ride to help combat breast cancer. The bike ride will be held on Saturday, October 13, starting at 1:00 p.m. The ride will begin from Letsche's Bike Shop in Cherokee.
Two routes, 12 mile and 24 mile rides are scheduled, and both rides leave from Letsche's Bike Shop at the same time.
All riders will proceed south on Highway 59 through town and continuing on to county road C44. Riders will turn right on C44 and head to Redtail Ridge for the water/rest stop.
The short route then heads back to Letsche's on the River Road.
The longer route leaves Redtail Ridge and heads west on C44 to the River Road, and then turns south on the River Road, continuing on to Quimby for the next rest/water stop. Riders will then return to Cherokee and Letsche's Bike Shop on the River Road.
Entry fee is $25, with all registration fees donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Pre-registration is encouraged.
Riders can register through the Active.com website, or they may register at Letsche's Bike Shop by completing a registration form there.
The first 30 women that register will receive a free "Ride for Breast Cancer" t-shirt. Each participant will receive an event gift bag (reusable tote), water bottle, and more. Many fun door prizes will be drawn for the day of the event.
