MAPLETON - 10th-ranked Ridge View suffered just their fourth loss of the season Tuesday night as #15 Maple Valley-Anthon-Oto topped them for the second time in just a little over a week.
The Raptors fell by scores of 21-25, 20-25, 25-19, 21-25.
"We played sharp at times but didn't get a couple of breaks to go our way," said Ridge View head coach Scott Mitchell. "I don't think either team was as sharp as last week when they played in the conference tournament. There is a lot of season left. I hope to continue to work and get better."
Gretchen Kistenmacher led the Warriors with 14 kills in 42 attempts. She added 10 digs and a block. Jayde Vondrak had 13 kills in 23 attempts to go with seven blocks. Kaitlynn Madsen had 12 kills in 39 attempts and eight blocks. Nicole Snyder totaled 44 assists and 11 digs, Dana Hustedt had 32 digs, Anna Davis had four kills and 21 digs, and Ashlynn Blenner had 23 digs.
The Raptors connected on 82-of-84 serves (98%) but totaled just one ace.
Ridge View now sits at 24-4 on the year with a 5-1 record in conference play. They take on West Monona and Siouxland Community Christian next Tuesday in Sioux City.
