Rocking Oktoberfest

Monday, October 1, 2012

You won't want to miss Oktoberfest at the Pointe on October 6th from 7-10 p.m. at King's Pointe Resort! Appetizers, beer sampling and great entertaining will be featured all night. Presale tickets are still available at $15.

"Oktoberfest is a new event at the Pointe this year. Our staff has been interested in a laid back event with beer tasting and festive appetizers, and there's no better time than the fall for an event like this," comments General Manager, Nick Edwards.

Throughout the night guests can sample artisan and craft beers perfectly paired with authentic German food. Doll Distributing, Glacier Distributing and Miller will be the beer companies sampling the specialty beers throughout the evening. A ticket will allow guests eight samples of beer and all the appetizers they desire.

Live entertainment will be provided by the Polka Police (Brother Jason and Jamie Burmeister), an Nebraska and Iowa party cover duo rocking the accordion to classics by Lawrence Welk, AC/DC, Charlie Daniels and more! The Polka Police perform an eclectic mix of humorous, high-energy rock and roll.

Don't worry about missing the big game because Zone Home Entertainment will provide flat screen TVs so you can watch your favorite teams all night.

King's Pointe wants to support the other community events going on October 6th as well. These events include the BVRMC AWARE 5K, the home Buena Vista University football game, and the St. Mary's Craft Fair. If guests bring their Aware 5K runners number, wear their BVU gear, or bring in a receipt from the St. Mary's Craft fair they'll receive $5 off their ticket the night of the event.
