2013 St. Mary's Ball and Charity Auction Chairs Bill and Leigh Laven announced that George and Melissa Green will join them as co-chairs planning for the March 23, 2013 semi-formal fundraising event.

George is general manager for QC Supply and Melissa is practice administrator/partner for Sports Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy Associates. They have two daughters attending St. Mary's -- Ashley in sixth grade and Natalie in second grade.

Bill and Leigh Laven are both graduates of St. Mary's High School and have three children attending St. Mary's School -- Madison, a senior in high school; Mackenzie, a high school freshman; and Mason, third grade. Bill is self-employed with Laven's Northwest Monuments and Leigh is Commercial Accounts Manager for Stille, Pierce and Pertzborn.

The two couples will work to raise funds for the Storm Lake Catholic School. In 2012 a record net $133,500 was raised for the school's operations and technology. Dollars were raised through a $100 Big Raffle for a grand prize of $10,000, ticket sales to the event and dinner, sponsorships, Paxtons' Chest of Chance, contributions of auction items and bidding upon auction items.

Big Raffle $100 tickets are now on sale and tickets to attend the event will go on sale in January 2013. Omaha's Velvet Crush band will provide music for dancing. For ticket information go online at stormlakecatholic.com or call St. Mary's Development Office at 712/732-3110.
