Warriors split four at home tourney

ALTA - The Alta-Aurelia volleyball team hosted tournament action over the weekend, splitting four matches as they topped Cherokee (21-13, 23-21) and Remsen St. Mary's (21-14, 22-20) and fell to Clay Central-Everly (10-21, 10-21) and Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire (19-21, 20-22).

Against Cherokee, Jenna Snyder led with three kills, two digs and two aces. Tena Heschke, Tayler Rohwer and Katie Turnquist had two kills apiece, Erica Lockin had 17 digs, and Kelsi Snyder had eight assists.

Against St. Mary's, Turnquist had six kills and three digs, Heschke had four kills and two digs, Lockin 13 digs, Kelsi Snyder 16 assists, and Taler Stanton seven digs. Turnquist had four kills in the loss to CC-E, and Rohwer and Heschke had four apiece in the loss to Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire. Lockin had 18 digs in that match and Snyder 13 assists.

The Warriors (11-14) remain at home again tonight as they welcome in Newell-Fonda (8-19).
