Robert "Rob" Ellis Redding Jr., age 44 of LeSueur, died Friday, September 21, at his home.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 25, at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Mankato with Pastor John Petersen officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Big Brother and Big Sister program.

Rob was born October 23, 1967 to Robert and Dorothy (Gosen) Redding in Mankato, Minn. He graduated from Storm Lake High School in 1985 and then graduated from the University of Northern Iowa - Cedar Falls. Rob was employed as an anchor and roporter for KEYC Television in North Mankato for five years. He then was employed by Nicollet County Court House in environmental services. Rob was a member of MENSA.

Rob enjoyed writing, music, and playing the piano and guitar. He loved time on his farm and especially raising his donkeys.

Rob is survived by his wife, Laura of rural LeSueur; mother, Dorothy Redding of Mankato; sister, Sandra Redding of Warwick, R.I.; two nieces, Lauren (Joe) Dipilato of Hudson, N.H., Maret Paetznick of Providence, R.I.; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Ellis Redding Sr.
