Local honor society recieve unique award

Sigma Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma is honored to be the recipient of the Katrina doll they received at their state convention in Council Bluffs. Katrina, a doll from Iceland, is awarded to the chapter that has collected the most money for World Fellowship and the state International Student Grants per member. Projects the society has participated in include: adopting an area family at Christmas time, giving art supplies to area schools, donating toiletries to women in need, and giving scholarships to area senior girls pursuing a degree in education.
