The Citizens Community Credit Union in Storm Lake has been collecting school supplies for the children at Faith, Hope & Charity late this summer and recently delivered the first stock of items. Items from paper to pencils and backpacks to folders were collected for Faith, Hope & Charity and will be put to good use throughout the school year.

The staff and members of Citizens Community Credit Union were excited to donate the school items to the children at Faith, Hope & Charity and the kids were thrilled to bring the new items to their first few days of school.

Lori Droegmiller, Assistant Branch Manager at Citizens Community Credit Union, approached Faith, Hope & Charity in July about a school supply drive. They changed their outdoor signage and also created indoor displays (including supply lists) for the community, their staff and their members to see and learn how to become involved in the school supply drive.

"Thank you to everyone who has made the children at Faith, Hope & Charity feel extra special by donating new school supplies for them," said Faith, Hope & Charity's Development Director Stephanie Beck, "The kids are so excited to start school and the new supplies get them even more excited."

Droegmiller says they plan to collect school supplies at their location for another month or so and can't wait to see how much they will be able to donate when the drive is complete.

The Faith, Hope & Charity Special Friends group has also been supplying school items to Faith, Hope & Charity over the years -- this year being no different. Other donors have also been helpful in this process as well.

To learn more about supporting Faith, Hope & Charity, please contact Stephanie Beck at 712-732-5127 or stephanie@faithhopeandcharity.org. To donate school supplies to the children at Faith, Hope & Charity, please drop them off at Citizens Community Credit Union by the end of September.
