Ruth Eileen (Biggins) Geisinger, age 101, of Storm Lake, died August 20, at North Lake Manor in Storm Lake.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.

Ruth Eileen Biggins was born September 12, 1910, on the family farm south of Storm Lake. Her parents were August William and Martha (Pech) Biggins.

Growing up, she graduated from Hayes High School and with a B.A. Degree from Buena Vista College in Storm Lake in 1933. She taught high school English and Speech at Palmer High School in Palmer, during the 1933 -- 1934 school year.

Mrs. Geisinger was a long time member of the Lakeside Presbyterian Church. When health permitted she was active in church circle, United Presbyterian Women, and served on the board of Deacons for two terms of three years each, once in the 1960s and again in the 1980s. She also enjoyed membership in the American Association of University Women.


Mrs. Geisinger is survived by two sons; David W. Geisinger (Sandra) of Schenectady, N.Y. and Richard J. Geisinger (Barbara) of Cherokee; five grandchildren: Rick Geisinger, Rodney Geisinger, Darby Geisinger, Jill Gobel and Jody Havens; and ten great grandchildren.
