An ambulance and deputies responded to the scene of a possible drowning Friday night at South Cove Drive, on the south side of Storm Lake. An adult male was found in the water shortly after 9 p.m. and brought to shore, where he was unconscious and thought to not be breathing. Officials had some difficulty locating the rescue attempt scene in the darkness. The victim, estimated at age 60, apparently jumped out of a boat, went under and did not surface. Ambulance personnel performed CPR en route to BVRMC, but the man had been unresponsive for 30 minutes by the time they arrived. No further information was available at press time.
