Tornadoes take down Western, 7-5

STORM LAKE - The Storm Lake baseball team grabbed a 3-0 lead in the first and held Western Christian at bay for the remainder as they picked up a 7-5 victory at home Wednesday night.

Nic Seaman led the way for the Tornadoes, pitching all seven innings and allowing three earned runs. He walked six and struck out four. At the plate, Seaman was 2-for-3, doubled and drove in three runs.

Jack Hartnett went 1-for-3 with a double and two runs driven in, Trey O'Brien was 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored, Aaron Krier was 1-for-3 and scored two runs, Ethan Kenkel was 2-for-4 with a run scored, and Taylor Friesen was 2-for-3 with a double.

Storm Lake improves to 12-10 on the year and visits Emmetsburg Monday.
