Pilot article on display at Historical Society

Friday, June 29, 2012

- George Whitehouse has written many impressive articles for our local newspapers, for the residents of Buena Vista County to enjoy. Bill Turner was so intrigued by George's article concerning the political campaign that occurred in Buena Vista County during the election year of 1862, just four short years after we became an official county, that he approached the Buena Vista County Historical wishing this article could be displayed. President Marjorie Neulieb helped Mr. Turner turn his wishes into reality. After receiving the article from the Pilot Tribune, Color-ize enlarged, and framed it, and it is now on display for visitors to appreciate that "political campaigning" has always been a way of life in America as well as right here in Buena Vista County.
