Look what's happening at the Alta Pool

Have you been enjoying the Alta Pool in this summer heat?

There are some great things to be checking out.

* Skills class (or swim team)

July 9-13 and July 16-20, 11 a.m.-noon, for kids ages 6-13. Swimming skills and diving skills will be practiced. Cost is $30.

* Mommy and Me classes

July 23-27, 23-27, 7-7:30 p.m. These classes for mommy and her young child, to get the child adjusted to the pool and as a precursor to swimming lessons. Cost is $30.

* Moonlight swim

Friday, July 27, 8-10 p.m. DJs Jacob Baxter and Nate Titus will provide music. Hotdogs will be served and prizes for all ages. Admission is $1. No season passes accepted.

Also, there are still some slots available for swimming lessons in late July and early August.

Periodically, when the mercury nearly pops out of the thermometer, there will be free swimming in the early after noons. Check out facebook.com/altapool for these special times.
