The Tornadoes scored one run apiece in the third, fourth and fifth, and added two apiece in the sixth and seventh.
Ethan Kenkel held the Midgets to just five hits during a complete game effort as he walked just won and struck out nine. Kenkel also led the way at the plate as he was 1-for-3 with two driven in. Kenkel now sits at 4-1 on the year with a 1.35 earned run average. He has struck out 47 in 31 innings. At the plate, he has hit for a .446 average with 22 driven in.
Aaron Krier was 2-for-4, stole four bases, scored two runs and drove in one, Jack Hartnett drove in two runs, and Taylor Friesen and Jay Grant drove in a run apiece.
The Tornadoes return home tomorrow night to take on Western Christian. Storm Lake prevailed 4-2 in their first meeting.
