ALTA - Alta-Aurelia broke out of their four-game losing streak Wednesday as they edged Southeast Webster at home by a final of 4-3.

"A well-played game by both teams," said Alta-Aurelia head coach Dave Turnquist. "Batting was a little sluggish at first, but we started to get some solid hits. We manufactured most of our runs, which is important in close games."

Alexis Hernandez had the hot bat for the Warriors as she was 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles and two runs scored. Tayler Rohwer was 1-for-3 and drove in a run, and Katie Turnquist and Micah Barnes each added an RBI.

Rohwer got the win on the mound as she gave up just one earned run on four hits. She walked four and struck out three.

The Warriors now sit at 9-10 on the year. They are in tournament action in Akron this weekend, with games against West Lyon and Remsen Union.
