Dream big! Read!

Monday, June 18, 2012

The Alta Community Library is planning a fun-filled month for children ages 18 months through fifth grade. The Summer Reading Program will begin on Monday, July 2.

Book Club starts at 9:15 a.m. for students who wish to log their reading. Incentives will be given for participation. Wednesdays are a special time for younger children to explore books and age appropriate activities during Toddle Time at 9 a.m.

Join Lynn DePrez of the library for "Sweet Stories" on Thursdays at 1:50, at the Alta Pool during the pool break. Hear a story and receive a sweet treat!

Story Time, a fun filled time with stories, crafts, and drama, will be held Fridays, at 9 a.m. An exciting time is being planned July 20, during story time as Blank Zoo presents "Day Dreamers." Zoo educators will help participants learn about animals that sleep during the day and roam while at night. Children will get a chance to meet animals that are rarely seen in the daytime and learn about their busy nighttime lives. This program is for all ages.
