Dr. Ashley Farmer-Hanson, director of civic engagement at BVU, says the award application was developed in collaboration with Student MOVE board members. Farmer-Hanson; Dr. Meg McKeon, vice president for student affairs and dean of students; and Kevin Coriolan, co-vice-president of communications for Student MOVE, recently traveled to Dallas to accept the award. Kevin is a junior communications major from Worthington, Minn. Student MOVE was one of five student-led college and university groups which were recognized for their significant contributions to better the world beyond their campuses. Student MOVE hosts over 20 civic engagement activities a year. During the 2011-12 academic year, over 800 BVU students, faculty, and staff volunteered 18,500 hours of service.
