STORM LAKE - The St. Mary's baseball team broke loose for a season best 16 runs on 15 hits Monday night, disposing of Laurens-Marathon in a 16-1 final.

"I thought we bounced back well from a few tough losses in the CYO tournament," said Panther head coach Ryan Berg. "Our offense really came alive and we had production from all parts of the line-up. This will still be a busy week for us with three more games but hopefully we can get on a roll and keep our offense clicking and getting good pitching in each game."

Leading the St. Mary's bats, Bobby Ivey was 3-for-4 with four runs driven in. Kennedy Drey was 2-for-2 with four driven in, Luke Lenhart was 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs scored and three driven in, Tyler Munden drove in one and scored two, Austin Demers was 2-for-3 with three runs scored, and Jacob Kottke and Ryan Peters both crossed home twice.

Ivey got the win on the mound, allowing one earned run on two hits. He walked two and struck out nine. Ivey now sits at 2-1 on the year with a 2.69ERA. He's struck out 24 in 13 innings.

St. Mary's improves to 5-4 with the win and will host Harris-Lake Park Thursday and Prairie Valley Friday.
