STORM LAKE - The Storm Lake baseball team dropped their third game in a row Thursday night as they fell at home to LeMars in their Lakes Conference debut, 5-0.

Storm Lake starter Ethan Kenkel struggled to find his touch early, walking three and striking two batters through the first two innings. However, LeMars would plate just one run in the second on a Jacob Lameroux single as they would leave the bags packed in both the first and second innings.

A diving stop by Taylor Friesen saved a pair of runs in the first as he nabbed the third out to prevent any damage.

Kenkel would settle in from there as he went six innings allowing just four hits. He wouldn't walk another batter the rest of the way and stuck out six.

Nic Seaman tossed one inning of relief as the Bulldogs plated four of the junior in the seventh on three hits.

The Tornadoes continue to search for some offensive production as they were held to just three hits Thursday; an Aaron Krier double and singles by Jack Hartnett and Blake Overmohle.

LeMars starter Chris Eckstaine went three innings and allowed just one hit. He walked one and struck out five. Colan Borchers and Parker Rolfes tossed four innings of relief with six strikeouts and one walk. The Bulldogs (4-0) have given up just four runs on the ear through four games, boasting a 0.75 earned run average.

The Tornadoes are at home this weekend for tournament action, opening at 2:30PM against Sioux Center.
