Alta-Aurelia girls golfers finish fourth at state

ADEL - The Alta-Aurelia girls golf team wrapped up their season at the State Tournament this week, turning a fourth place finish in Class 2A.

The Warriors carded a collected 768 over Tuesday and Wednesday's rounds, firing a 387 and 381.

Dyersville Beckham was the meet winner with a 688, followed by Kuemper Catholic at 747, Cascade a 748, Alta-Aurelia, Dike New Hartford at 776, Wapello at 779, Sheldon at 804 and Clarinda at 825.

Individually, Kelsi Snyder and Jenna Snyder led the Warriors with two-day totals of 189. Jenna Snyder had the low round of the tournament for Alta-Aurelia with a 91. Erica Lockin followed with a 191, April Goslinga had a 202, Jennifer Jensen a 206 and Maddi Meier a 241.
