Gladys Lucille Branco was born March 28, 1925 in South Bend, Ind. to Samuel and Berniece Cassells. She graduated from South Bend Central High School in 1943.
Gladys married Richard Branco on Jan. 30, 1948. This union was blessed with two children. The couple moved to Holstein in 1950 and Gladys worked for many years in her husband's law office.
Gladys was a member of the United Methodist Church and Nacirema, a charter member of the Holstein Country Club, involved with the Lohff-Schumann Recreation Center and belonged to four bridge clubs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; her parents; and sister, Dorothy Pozgay.
Gladys is survived by her son, Bruce (Jo Ann) of Des Moines; her daughter, Barbara Branco of Asheville, NC; grandchildren, Sarah Mitchell of Seattle, Wash. and Patrick Mitchell of Las Vegas, Nev.; her brother, Earl Cassells, of South Bend, Ind.; her brother-in-law, Rev. Dr. Frederick (Shirley) Branco of St. Charles, Mo.; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
