Maple Valley Ag 4-H Notes

The regular meeting of the Maple Valley Ag 4-H Club was held Saturday May 5, 2012 at 6 p.m. at the Alta Elementary Gym.

The meeting was called to order by President Jeremy Peterson with 16 members in attendance. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Chandler Witzke. The secretary's and treasurer's report were both given and approved.

Bills: Pumpkin seeds and graduation gifts. These bills were approved.

Old Business: The new club T-Shirts should be in by the June meeting.

New Business: The club decided to donate the same amount of money as we did last year to 4-Hers. On May 12 there will be the sheep weigh in at Allee Farm by Newell from 9 to 10:30 a.m. There will be a rabbit workshop and tattooing at 1pm at Extension Office. May 15 is when all livestock ID Forms are due to the Extension Office, as well as the State 4-H Conference forms. Also remember to sign up for club hosts and other club duties. June only has one family hosting.

The meeting was adjourned with the 4-H Pledge led by Drew Hinners.

The presenter that night was Brittany Turnquist. She did a presentation on how to make Dum-Dum flowers.

Afterwards a snack was served by hosts Brittany Turnquist and Anna Cox.

The next meeting will be June 3 at 4 p.m. at Terry and Roxanne Peterson's house to plant pumpkins. Next meetings host and presenter will be Chris Peterson.
