Memorial services were Monday, May 21 at the Sliefert-Smith Funeral Home in Webb. Arrangements were under the direction of the Sliefert-Smith Funeral Home of Webb.
Donald Barton Snyder was born March 24, 1926, in New Underwood, South Dakota, the son of Glen and Amelia (Siekman) Snyder. He attended grade school in the Linn Grove area, graduating from Linn Grove High School with the class of 1943.
On March 27, 1948, Donald was united in marriage to Joyce Dalziel at the Methodist parsonage in Sioux Rapids. This union was blessed with three children: Joy, Bart and Joni.
As a youth, Donald was involved in 4-H, showing livestock. He would continue his love of animals throughout his years, by riding and showing Quarter horses, reining horses and team roping. His love of the land was demonstrated by his pride in farming. He loved and adored his family and will be forever remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Those left to cherish Donald's memory are his wife of 64 years, Joyce Snyder of Webb; his children: Joy Winfrey of Casper, Wyo.; Bart (Jane) Snyder of Mt. Vernon, Mo.; Joni (Todd) Campidilli of Woodward; his grandchildren: Robert Winfrey; Lisa (Kevin) Day; Christy (Chris) Schakel; Kalvin (Kelli Jo) Glienke; Cody (Kaci) Snyder; Clayton Campidilli; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Tom (Diane) Snyder of Baton Rouge, La.; one sister, Joan Walquist of Linn Grove; extended family and many friends who shared in his life.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Amelia Snyder, and his brother-in-law, Don Walquist.
