Henningsen leads Warriors at State

DES MOINES - The Alta-Aurelia boy's track team sent seven events to Des Moines Thursday and Friday, and they were led by Warrior senior Jalen Henningsen's 11th place finish in the 200.

Henningsen clocked in a 23.29 in the prelims Thursday. The senior added a 14th place time in the 100 meter dash at 11.88.

The Warriors' 4x200 meter relay of Kaleb Howey, Shawn Rowell, Jordan Schmitz and Henningsen took 13th overall in the Class 2A field with a time of 1:32.83, four tenths off their season best.

The shuttle hurdle relay of Austin Delp, Jared Schmitz, Jordan Schmitz and Neil Marshall was 17th in the prelmis with a time of 1:01.80. The 4x400 relay of Delp, Marshall, Mitchell Fritz and Henningsen was also 17 at 3:28.62. Jordan Schmitz added a 23rd place finish in the 400 hurdles at 1:00.83, and Fritz was 24th in the open 400 at 52.80.
