Alta-Aurelia girls advance from Okoboji

Jenna Snyder and the Warriors are in Emmetsburg Monday.
OKOBOJI - The Alta-Aurelia golf team advanced on to Class 2A Regional golf play Monday as they ran away with the District meet at Woodlyn Hills by over 30 strokes.

The Warriors carded a collective 384, leaving fellow Regional qualifier and second place finisher Emmetsburg in a distant second at 416.

Okoboji took third at 424, Garner-Hayfield followed with a 4404, Pocahontas Area a 448, North Sentral Kossuth a 466, South Central a 511 and Manson-Northwest Webster a 526.

Okoboji will still send two individuals to the Regional meet as they swept the medal stand with Kiley Wermersen shooting an 84 and Alex Mankle an 86.

The next two lowest rounds of the day came from the Warriors as Kelsi Snyder shot a 92 and Erica Lockin a 93. Jennifer Jensen followed with a 97, Jenna Snyder had a 102, April Goslinga a 102 and Maddi Meier a 120.

The Warriors and E-Hawks advance to Emmetsburg Monday, where they'll be joined by Sheldon (378), Unity Christian (406), Nashua-Plainfield (411) and Hampton-Dumont (416).
