Volunteer honored for work with Guard employers

Paul Monson of Newell, a volunteer with the Iowa Committee of Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), was honored recently with an Outstanding Performance Award for his work on behalf of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve mission.

According to Rob Kelly, vice chair of Iowa ESGR, "The Outstanding Performance Award is presented on behalf of the National Chairman of Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve on behalf of the men and women of the National Guard and Reserve Forces. The Award recognizes Paul's outstanding service and continuing support of the National Defense.

Paul Monson is a retired farmer in Newell. Monson received the Outstanding Performance Award during the Iowa ESGR annual meeting this month.
