Food booth applications available for Star Spangled Spectacular

Non-profit organizations now have the opportunity to register to operate a food booth during the 2012 Star Spangled Spectacular Wednesday, July 4. Applications are now available and must be returned to event organizers by May 18, 2012 to be eligible. There are a limited number of slots available.

The Star Spangled Spectacular boasts a large slate of food and beverages for thousands of spectators ranging from snow cones to turkey fillets to Mexican food. Proceeds from the purchase of the food and drink at the Spectacular benefit the non-profit agencies operating the booths.

Food Booth chair Jennifer Hecht explained vendors can serve food both the evening of Tuesday, July 3 in Sunset Park as well as various locations on July 4. Vendors that complete their applications and pay their fee will enjoy a $15 registration discount.

Vendors who are returning from the 2011 Spectacular will only be guaranteed their same park location if their payment and registration are received by May 18, 2012.

Each food booth operator will need to be in compliance with the Buena Vista County Environmental Health Department in order to operate during the July 3 and 4 events.
