Funeral Mass was held Tuesday, April 10, at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake. Burial was in the Newell Cemetery in Newell. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake was in charge of the arrangements.
Joseph Edward Wolff was born June 27, 1936 in Schaller, the son of Leo and Marcella (Haselhoff) Wolff. Marcella passed away in 1943 and then Joseph was raised by his stepmother, Betty Wolff.
Growing up, Joe attended St. Mary's Catholic School in Storm Lake where he graduated in 1954.
On June 11, 1956 Joe was united in marriage to Nancy Price in Storm Lake. Together, they were blessed with four children: Richard, Allan, Julie, and Lynn.
Joe was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake. He loved farming the land and overhauling cars and tractors. Joe enjoyed visiting family and attending his children and grandchildren's activities. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing cards. Joe treasured his family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Nancy Wolff of Newell; children: Richard (Patti) Wolff of Newell; Allan (Diana) Wolff of Tulsa, Okla.; Julie (Michael) Sexton of Newell; Lynn (Harry) Schaller of Storm Lake; grandchildren: Matthew (Carrie) Wolff of Alta; Patrick Wolff of Sac City; Theodore Wolff (fiancÚ, Maren Vik) of Coppell, Texas; Brent Sexton (fiancÚ, Brooke Whiting) of Spirit Lake; Christa Sexton of Spirit Lake; Rachel and Renee Wolff of Tulsa, Okla.; Ian, Adam, and Olivia Schaller of Storm Lake; great -grandchildren: Evin Wolff, Cypren Wolff, and Carter Sexton; brothers: Edward Wolff of Kent, Wash.; William (Luella) Wolff of Pittsburg, Kan.; Norman (Pam) Wolff of Newell; sisters: Mary Niehaus of Fonda; Judy Rewerts of Defiance; Linda (Ron) Tilton of Storm Lake; Jean (Jeff) Currie of Storm Lake; extended family and many friends.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Marcella Wolff; stepmother, Betty Wolff; and brothers-in-law, Don Niehaus and George Rewerts.
