The Alta Kiwanis met Tuesday, April 3, at Wel-Life.
Tuesday's guest speaker was Dorene Ehlers who spoke to us about the Strengthening Families program. This program is for parents and their children age 10-14 for the purpose of improving relationships between parent and child. Dorene, who works for BV County Extension, has been head of this program for one and a half years. Each parent and child interact through a variety of activites such as watching videos, crafts, games, and role-playing.
Saturday's Easter Egg Hunt at wel-life was a real success with around 100 children participating. Thanks to all who helped and especially to Wel-Life for hosting.
Bicycle safety day is set for May 4 with second graders at 9 a.m., third graders at 1p.m.
Ditch cleaning tentatively set for Friday, April 20.
Currently, our club is recruiting new members. This would be a great opportunity to serve your community and help local youth.
