Buena Vista University's (BVU) Teaching and Learning with Technology Center (TLTC) 6th Annual "Show Us Your Stuff" Digital Creativity Contest is scheduled for April 8, 2012. This contest, originally targeted at BVU students, has gone on to welcome BVU alumni and now for the first time to the Storm Lake community and the surrounding communities. Categories for this contest include iPad, Static, and Multimedia submissions. The "Show Us Your Stuff" Digital Creativity Contest was created for the purpose of giving students a creative outlet while making use of the wealth of technology available. It was TLTC's goal to create a contest that allows contestants to be innovative and digitally creative.
"This is the 6th year we've done "Show Us Your Stuff" and it has been successful every year so far," TLTC Manager Jay Benedict said. "What is different about this year is that we are opening the contest up to the surrounding communities. There is a wealth of resources on the web and we want to give the BVU community as well as the surrounding areas an opportunity to create some really cool digital media. This, hopefully, will also help to create a sense of community between the university and the surrounding cities and towns."
Participants may enter each category up to three times (iPad, Static, and Multimedia) but can only win once and all items must be original and unique. For more information on rules, and to view past submissions visit the TLTC website (www.bvu.edu/tltc) and click on the "SUYS Contest." The contest deadline is April 8, 2012 and submissions may be sent in at any time. There is over $600 in prizes and the TLTC is looking forward to seeing a variety of creative submissions.
