Nashville's Brasher-Bogue to open up Arnolds Park season
Brasher Brogue is the first act announced for the 2012 Live at the Lakes concert series on the plaza at Arnolds Park Amusement Park.
The show is Saturday, June 23, 7:30 p.m. and admission is free.
The duo made a big hit headlining the first Lakefest in Storm Lake last summer. Dustin Bogue is a native of Sac City.
Brasher Bogue began five years ago simply as two "Real Friends" writing songs together. From that relationship Andy Brasher and Dustin Bogue became an insightful, dynamic combination that people are connecting with on a very personal level, both through their lyrics and the melodic blending of their strong vocal talents.
"Writing songs with Andy is natural to me. It just happens, and it's always exciting to see what we will come up with because we truly never know what direction we will go," Dustin says.
Each of them bring years of creative experience; singing, songwriting and performing on their own, trying to push the limits of the Nashville sound. They perform regularly at the Hard Rock Cafe in Nashville, and have several recording projects underway.
