She was born Jan. 26, 1930 in Sioux Rapids to Vern and Helen Phillips.
Virginia served as the Dietary Supervisor at Buena Vista County Hospital, Storm Lake, and later at the Heritage Park Care Center in Carbondale, Colo. She enjoyed making quilts that she shared with family and friends, working crossword puzzles in the daily newspapers, and was a voracious reader her whole life.
She is survived by two brothers, Bruce (Bernice) Phillips of Roberts, Mont. and Bill (Jackie) Phillips, of Virginia and two sisters, Barbara Bagenstos and Margo Land, both of Billings, Mont.
She is also survived by one daughter, V. Sharon (Jose) Rodriguez, of Rifle, Colo. and two sons, Walter (Joan) Scott and Robert Scott of Drakesville, granddaughters: Brittny Mullen, Grand Junction, Colo., Stacy McCarthy, Rifle, Colo., Jenna Scott, Denver, Colo., grandsons: Walter (Angela) Scott, Singapore, Damon Scott, Drakesville, Kyle Scott, Denver and four great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Virginia was married to George Scott for forty years. She later married Harry Kelsey who preceded her in death.
A memorial service was conducted at the New Life Church on Jan. 22, in Billings, Mont.
