Students' art work to be on display at BVU Art Gallery

Seven Alta-Aurelia High School students have art work that has been selected to be a part of the Western Iowa Salon Exhibition (WISE).

The exhibition is sponsored by Buena Vista University Art Gallery in conjunction with the Art and Graphic Design Department. The art will be displayed at the BVU Art Gallery from March 5 to April 5.

There were 180 completed entries from 15 school of which 89 works were accepted.

A public reception will be held March 10 from 2-4 p.m. with an awards presentation at 3 p.m.

Alta-Aurelia participants, students of Jerry Braunschweig, and names of their art work are Alyssa Turnquist, "Fall of the Farm"; Kerstin Tuttle, "Tanks", Kelsey Brake, "Seen a Different Way"; Jayna Brechwald, "New Perspective"; Kelsey McGowan, "Untitled"; Jill Buckendahl (two pieces) "Edgy" and "Forgotten Dreams" and Austin Delp (two pieces) "Just Another Day" and "Living the Dream."
