Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 28, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Galva. Burial will be in the Schaller Cemetery. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Schaller is in charge of the arrangements.
Susan Harriet was born Feb. 24, 1956 in Schaller, the daughter of George and Wilma (Popp) Wiese. She was baptized on March 25, 1956 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Schaller where she was later confirmed.
Growing up, Susan attended school in Battle Creek where she went to special education classes. She later attended the Howard Activity Center in Sac City.
Susan enjoyed listening to music and watching television, especially Gunsmoke and Iowa Hawkeye sporting events. She assisted her mother with household duties before moving in with her sister and brother-in-law, Ron and Mary Rydberg. Susan had a way of touching other peoples' lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish her memory include her siblings: Jim (Nancy) Wiese of Iowa City; Paul Wiese of Iowa City; and Mary (Ron) Rydberg of Schaller; nieces and nephews: James Andrew Wiese, Kate Gluba, Edward Wiese, Maria Turner, Ross Rydberg, and Karen Currier; ten great-nieces and nephews; also her on call friend, Judy Winterhof who was available in Mary's absence; extended family and many friends.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, George and Wilma Wiese; brother, Thomas Wiese; and one niece, Jamie.
