Stacy Dumkrieger, age 54, of Storm Lake, died Nov. 29, 2011 in Iowa City.

Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 2, at the United Methodist Church in Storm Lake. Burial was in the Buena Vista Memorial Park Cemetery in Storm Lake. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake was in charge of the arrangements.

Stacy Joyce Dumkrieger was born Oct. 4, 1957 in Storm Lake, the daughter of John and Joyce (Small) Dumkrieger. As an infant, she was baptized at the United Methodist Church in Storm Lake where she was later confirmed.

Growing up, she attended school in Storm Lake where she graduated from Storm Lake High School in 1977.

Stacy worked at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake in the purchasing department for over 30 years. She loved working and enjoyed all of her friends that she worked with.

In her spare time, Stacy had a passion for shopping. She loved listening to music and watching sports of any kind, especially, basketball. Stacy enjoyed having visitors and company. She treasured her family and loved spending time with them. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her parents, John and Joyce Dumkrieger of Storm Lake; sister, Stephanie (Jeff) Politte of Algona; nieces, Kelsey and Meredith Politte of Algona; aunts: Delores Raveling of Peterson, and Roberta Small of Rembrandt; many special cousins; lots of loving family; and her cat, Ebby.

Stacy was preceded in death by her grandparents: Homer and Bessie Dumkrieger; Charles and Blanche Small; aunts; uncles; and cousins.
