Debra Ann O'Meara Morgan of Lincoln City, Ore. was born in Ida Grove on Sept. 5, 1952, the first child to William and Beverly O'Meara of Galva.
She attended grade school and junior high in Galva and Holstein. She then moved to Storm Lake where she attended St. Mary's High School and graduated in 1970. After graduation she attended Humboldt Inst. in Minneapolis. Later she attended Iowa State College in Ames. She moved to Eugene, Ore. in 1976 where she worked for the University of Oregon in the Science Department. She met Kevin Morgan in Eugene, Ore. and they were married on March 12, 2000. Later they moved to Lincoln City, Ore. and she worked as a manager for Columbia Clothing Co. for nine years. Deb lived life to the fullest and was very adventurous. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved the ocean. Her hobbies included crafts, making jewelry, baking and gardening.
Deb passed way in her home on Nov. 1, 2011. She was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly O'Meara, and her grandparents Chris and Anna Daugaard and Clare and Viola O'Meara. Survivors include her husband, Kevin Morgan of Lincoln City, Ore.; her father William O'Meara of Storm Lake; sisters, Connie and Steve Sippel of Schaller, Teresa and Richard Mahn of Pflugerville, Texas, and Mary and Kevin Richardson of Hillsboro, Ore.; nieces and nephews, Nick Sippel, Sarah Sippel, Daniel Sippel, Tom Sippel, Chelsea Sippel, Jason Mahn, Marissa Mahn, Simone Richardson and Alex Richardson; and many relatives and friends.
A sunset celebration of life was held on Nov. 5 in Newport, Ore.
