Ella M. (Lohrman) Hageman Wilson, age 108, of Storm Lake, died Oct. 19, 2011 at the Methodist Manor Retirement Community in Storm Lake.

Memorial services were held Monday, Oct. 24, at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Storm Lake. Burial was in the Graceland Park Cemetery in Sioux City. In Lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations may be made to a charity of your choice. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake was in charge of the arrangements.

Ella Was born Jan. 4, 1903 in Westside, the daughter of Albert and Anna (Kruthoff) Lohrman. She was baptized when she was five days old into the Lutheran faith at her home. In 1918, Ella was confirmed at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hornick.

Growing up, Ella attended country school through eighth grade and graduated from Climbing Hill Consolidated School in 1923.

On Dec. 23, 1925, Ella was united in marriage to Carl A. Hageman in Sioux Falls, S.D. They were blessed with two children: Vera Jean and Carl J. Together they farmed near Correctionville until 1958, when they moved to Sioux City, where Ella worked at St. Jo Hospital for 12 years before retiring in 1971. Carl A. passed away on May 3, 1971 and Ella moved to Storm Lake in 1974. Ella was united in marriage to Harrison Wilson on Nov. 10, 1976 at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Storm Lake.

Ella was a full pledged member in every way to the St. Mark Lutheran Church in Storm Lake. She was a wonderful cook and loved playing cards.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son: Carl J. (Marian) Hageman of Hampton; six grandchildren; several great grandchildren: sister-in-law, Frances Smeling of Mapleton; many nieces; nephews; extended family and friends.

Ella was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Carl A. Hageman and Harrison Wilson; two brothers, Clarence and Dewey; and a sister, Bonita Lohrman.
