Lois was born on June 26, 1936 in Correctionville; a daughter of the late C Barton and Clara Baker. She attended Marathon High School, Marathon, graduating in 1954. On May 28, 1954 she married the late Gerald D. Scott, of Storm Lake. Her husband entered the pastoral ministry in 1963 and his calling quickly became a shared calling that focused on bringing Christ's love to many. She was an active Bible teacher at the Washington Assembly of God for decades. When the Scott's retired from pastoral ministry, they opened The Scott House, a ministry to infants born to mothers with addictions.
