LAURENS - A week after falling 7th-ranked and unbeaten Newell-Fonda, the Laurens-Marathon football team rebounded in a big way Friday night, taking down 8th-ranked and previously undefeated Kingsley-Pierson, 28-22.

Justin DaSilva carried 21 times for 62 yards and TD, Matt Cleveland had three grabs for 84 yards and two touchdowns, including a 65-yarder. Will Cleveland had two catches for 56 yards and a touchdown.
Defensively, Collin Lind had nine stops, Jake Simpson had seven, Austin Hanson and Will Cleveland had six, and Matt Cleveland had five.
Laurens-Marathon improves to 4-3 with the win and 3-1 in District play, leaving them in a three-way tie with the K-P and Remsen-Union. Newell-Fonda sits atop the District at 6-0 and 4-0 in league play with three weeks remaining.
