Oma Maxine Tarbill, age 80, of Storm Lake, died Aug. 23, 2011 at Loring Hospital in Sac City.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Aug. 27, at 10 a.m. at the Faith Bible Outreach Center in Storm Lake. Burial will be in the Storm Lake Cemetery. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.

Oma Maxine Dorrell was born on June 9, 1931 in Osborne, Idaho, the daughter of Joseph Edward and Mary Ellen (Belrey) Dorrell. She worked as a waitress for much of her life. She loved music and her church. She was a people person who enjoyed making new friends. Cats were important to Maxine. She also enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She was a member of Faith Bible Church in Storm Lake. Her family was always her first priority, however. Maxine treasured the time she spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her quiet, caring ways will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Gus Albert Rathke of Florence, Ariz.; Randolph Roy Rathke of Las Vegas, Nev.; and June Elaine (Rick) Mason of Storm Lake; grandchildren: Michele Rathke, Andrea Rathke, Tammie Rathke, John Rathke, Amanda Rathke, Julianne (Travis) Dudley, Jeremy Mason, Becky Mason, Brian Mason; three great-grandchildren: Andrew, Elizabeth and Isaiah Dudley; sister, Jennifer Allen of Escondido, California; extended family and many friends.
