Charlene married Elwood "Woody" Riedemann on Aug. 23, 1947 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Woody and Charlene worked together and built their first home in Spencer. After Woody's retirement, they enjoyed traveling in the "Coach" and spending time visiting their children and grandchildren.
After Woody's death in 2006, Charlene moved to Des Moines to be closer to her son.
