Jesus Mancilla Salcedo, age 42, of Storm Lake, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2011 at his home in Storm Lake.

Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, June 21, at 5 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.

Jesus Mancilla Salcedo was born April 26, 1969 to Jesus Mancilla Guzman and Amalia Salcedo Rodriguez in Mexico City, Mexico. Jesus was baptized into the Catholic Church in 1970 and continued to practice his faith throughout his life. Growing up he attended school and was a part of the graduating class of 1985.

Jesus was blessed with three children: Anthony, Alexandra, and Jessica.

In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and had an artistic talent of drawing. Jesus loved his family and will deeply missed by all who knew him and loved him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children: Anthony Lanham of Bellevue, Neb.; Alexandra Lanham of Bellevue, Neb.; and Jessica Rench of Denver, Colo.; parents, Jesus Mancilla Guzman and Amalia Salcedo Rodriguez of Mexico City, Mexico; brothers: Juan (Maria) Mancilla of Phoenix, Ariz.; Ramon Mancilla of Tampa, Fla.; Adan Mancilla of Mexico; Miguel Mancilla of Mexico; Angel (Liliana) of Mexico; Enrique (Rita) Mancilla of Mexico; and Javier of Mexico; sisters: Maria Elena (Javier) of Mexico; Bertha (Eduardo) of Mexico; and Eva (Gaston) of Mexico; extended family and many friends.
