Keo Thiphasouk, age 75, of Storm Lake, died April 4, 2011 at his home in Storm Lake.

Funeral mass will take place Sunday, April 10, 2011 at 2 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Storm Lake. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.

Keo Thiphasouk was born June 15, 1935 in Vientiane, Laos. Growing up, Keo attended school where he graduated.

In 1959, he was baptized in Paksane, Laos and later became a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake.

On May 1, 1957, Keo was united in marriage to Nou Syharath in Paksane, Laos. Together, they were blessed with nine children: Bountheo, Bounthan, Khamvhanh, Dawn, Bounyong, Eddie, Allen, Lee, and Phokham.

Keo enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He loved and treasured his family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children: Dawn (Pramern) Suksai of Storm Lake; Bounyong (Seng) Chounlamany of Sioux City; Eddie Thiphasouk of Sioux City; Allen (Pathoumthong) Thiphasouk of Storm Lake; Lee (Vawn) Thiphasouk of Nevada; Phokham "Joy" Thiphasouk of Sioux City; grandchildren: Ann Phakonekham of Storm Lake; Lori (No) Lengsavath of Hartford, Conn.; Michael Phakonekham of Storm Lake; Alex, Steven, and Brian Chounlamany of Sioux City; Hayla and Mia Thiphasouk of Sioux City; Chris Thiphasouk of Storm Lake; Kobe and Byron Thiphasouk of Nevada; great grandchildren: Ethan Phakonekham of Storm Lake; Jasmine Lengsavath of Hartford, Conn.; brother, Khamla (Bounraphanh) of Algona; extended family and friends.

Keo was preceded in death by his wife, Nou Thiphasouk; sons: Bounthan and Khamvhanh Thiphasouk.
