Paul A. Kirsch, age 54, of Laurens, died on Friday, April 1, 2011, at the Pocahontas Community Hospital at Pocahontas. In following Paul's request, his body was cremated and there will be no services.
Paul Adrian Kirsch, the son of John and Betty (Cole) Kirsch was born at Schaller, on March 21, 1957. He lived his youth in Laurens and received his education at the Laurens-Marathon Community School.
On Dec. 23, 1981, Paul was united in marriage to Debra Vierow at Laurens. Paul was blessed to join Debra's family which included her two daughters, Arlinda and Belinda. Paul's lifetime has been spent in the Laurens community where the had been employed as a machinist for Iowa Industrial in Pocahontas, J & L Manufacturing in Laurens and Bobalee Manufacturing, where he worked until his retirement.
Paul also received great enjoyment working on area farms for Lynn Harris and. Larry Bellcock. He helped many ladies in the Laurens community by mowing their lawns. Paul was a great outdoorsman and enjoyed spending as much time as he could outside.
Paul's life will always be loved and cherished by his family which include his wife: Debra of Laurens, his two step-daughters: Arlinda Mowry and Dave Wood of Laurens and Belinda Mowry, also of Laurens, his step grandchildren: Anthony, Ariel, Haley, Tyler, David, Christina, Austin, and Harry, his 4 brothers: Mike Kirsch of Burnsville, Minn., Pat Kirsch, Don Kirsch, and Jeff Kirsch, all of Laurens, his 4 sisters: Peggy Hutchinson of Spencer, Terry Herrig of Albert City, Kathy Johnson of Laurens, and Janice Bell of Spencer, other extended family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a step grandson, and 2 brothers.
