Kathleen Mullen was born in Fonda, on July 20, 1932. The youngest of four, Kathleen grew up happily spending her childhood in this small farming community. Upon reaching adulthood, Kathleen dedicated 18 years to her faith where she was a teacher and administrator for numerous Catholic parishes across the country. During this time, she completed her education including a Masters of Arts from Notre Dame University.
Kathleen met and married Henry Janusek of Chicago, Ill. in 1970. They moved, with their two sons, to Phoenix, Ariz. in 1978. Kathleen continued to teach elementary education and music at several local parishes while her sons were in school. After retiring from teaching in the late 90's, Kathleen spent time with her husband in both Phoenix and Iowa reuniting with relatives and old friends. Kathleen and Henry moved to Texas in 2007 where she spent the last few years near several of her grandchildren.
Kathleen was a truly loving and giving person. She was a teacher to many and always went out of her way to make others comfortable. She will be missed dearly by all her family and those whose lives she touched through teaching.
